Adrian Petrescu

Musician with an impressive national and international artistic career, Adrian Petrescu is first oboe player of the „George Enescu” Philharmonic in Bucharest and conductor of the „Romanian Brass” ensemble .

His artistic achievements include series of distinctions obtained within national and international competitions. He is a laureate of the International Competition in Prag and he obtained the Honor Diploma at International Competition and Festival in Markneukirchen, Germany.  

Among his achievements we mention the recordings made as a soloist :the DVD with the Chamber Orchestra of the „George Enescu” Philharmonic in Bucharest , conducted by Cristian Mandeal by the AIX Media Group Company (USA) and also several CDs: „The magic of Adrian Petrescu” accomplished in Cambridge, Great Britain with the organist Nicolae Licaret , „Love under the blue stars” with Electrecord Company and „Solitude” , with SonArt Records, and as a conducter the CD „Solemn Entry” with the „Romanian Brass” ensemble.

He has been invited to participate as soloist in many national and international festivals, such as : „George Enescu” – Romania, Schwerin – Germany, „Cimarosa” di Fermo – Italy, Charleroi – Belgium, Norfolk Norwich – Great Britain, Thessaloniki – Greece, Hanover Expo – Germany, Las Palmas – Spain, Istanbul and Ankara – Turkey, Dranouter – Belgium.

He is a permanent guest within musical broadcastings of the Romanian Radio and Television and in 2003 he has been praised with the Cultural Merit Class I.
