Sorin Lupaşcu - horn

Born at Rupea, Brasov County in 1969. Studied horn at Octav bancila High school Iasi, class of professor Neculai Musteata. Continued studies at the national Music University Bucharest, class of professor Paul Staicu and N. Lipoczi obtaining many musical prizes. Since 1991 is employee of the national radio Orchestra, at present being member of the George Enescu Philarmonic Bucharest. Is a member of the Concordia Blowers Quintet, a founding member of the radio Horn Quartet in Bucharest, of Profile Contemporaneous music ensemble in Bucharest and Romanian Brass Ensemble. In the period 1998-2000 has participated at Master courses within the Roosevelt University in Chicago with dale Clevenger, being a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Has participated to many tours with George Enescu Philarmonic in England, Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Japan with soloists like Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Vadim Repin, Angela Gheorghiu and conductors Daniel Borenboim, Neeme Jarvi, William Edins, Seiji Ozawa.
