Ciprian Popa - Horn

Born in 1976 at Vaslui, started study of horn at Octav bancila High school in Iasi, class of professor Neculai Musteata; graduated the National Music university Bucharest Horn class of professor N. Lipoczi. Has obtainedprizes at the Interpretation Contests in Constanta, Ploiesti and Bucharest. Since 1997 is employee of George Enescu Philarmonic Bucharest. Between 2003 – 2004 has sustained master class with professor Ion Ratiu at Duseldorf and practicing student at opera orchestra of Duisburg. Has made many tours with the Philarmonic orchestra in Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Japan, etc. collaborating with soloists like Jose Carreras, Angela Gheorghiu, Nicolae Licaret, Valentin Gheorghiu, Dan Grigore and conductors: Misha katz, Neeme jarvi, Cristial Mandeal, etc. Is a founding member of the Romanian Brass Ensemble.
