Dumitru - Cristian Suciu - Trumpet

Born in Oradea in 1971, he attended the Ion Vidu Musical High School in Timisoara, then graduated the Ciprian Porumbescu Conservarory in Bucharest at class of trumpet of professor Vaduva Iancu. He obtained many national and international prizes among which the IInd Prize of International Jeunesse Musicales Contest. In 1991 became first trumpetist of the symphonic orchestra of George Enescu Philarmonic Bucharest. With the orchestra participated to numerous tours in the country and abroad: Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Switzerland. In 1993 became founding member of the Atheneum Brass Quintet with which obtained in 1993 the IInd Prize at Gheorghe Dima International Contest and of Romanian Brass Ensemble. Has played under great conductors like: Ghenadi Rojdensvenski, Emil Tabacov, Erich Bergel, Eugenne Kohn, Cristian Mandeal, Seiji Ozawa.

Has been awarded the medal Cultural Merit class II by the president of Romania.
