Ioan Gabriel Luca - Horn

Born in 1977 at Dorohoi, studied the horn at Octav bancila High school in Iasi with class of professor Neculai Musteata. In a996 became student of the national Music University Bucharest class of professor Nicolae Lipoczi. During studies has obtained numerous prizes: I-st Prize at national Contest of Interpretation Ploiesti 1992, iasi (1993-1996), Constanta 1994, Baia mare 1995. Also first Prize at the National Music Contest Jeunesse Musicales 1996. Since 1997 is employee of George Enescu Philarmonic as Horn soloist. Has taken part to many tours together with George Enescu Philarmonic in Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Japan, Lexembourg, Belgium, Holland, Great Britain. Is a member of the Atheneum Brass Quintet of Chamber Orchestra of Sweden, International Orchestra D'Italia and founding member of the Romanian Brass Ensemble.

Has been distinguished with the medal of Cultural Merit class II by the Romanian president in 2004.
