Mihai Toth - trumpet

Born in Timisoara, started studies of trumpet at the Musical High School in his town, then graduated the Ciprian Porumbescu Conservatory in Bucharest in 1992 with class of trumpet of professor Vaduva Iancu. A laureate of numerous national and international contests. He developed during studies a rich activity in the capacity of soloist and within the State Philarmonic of Banat in Timisoara. After graduation in 1992 became trumpet player in the orchestra of George Enescu Philarmonic Bucharest. With the Philarmonic orchestra has taken part to concert tours in Japan, Greece, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, as well as at achievement of recordings on CD and DVD. In 2000 obtained the IInd Prize with the Atheneum Brass Quintet at Jeunesse Musicales contests in Bucharest and Cluj. He is a founding member of the Atheneum Brass Quintet and Romanian Brass Ensemble. Has concerted under great conductors like Ghenadi Rojdensvenscki, Emil Tabacov, Erich Bergel, Eugenne Khon, Cristian Mandeal, Seiji Ozawa.

Has been distinguished with the medal Cultural Merit class II by the president.
