Romanian Brass

brass_204_400The chamber orchestra Romanian Brass is composed of the best brass wind musicians within the Symphony Orchestra of the “ George Enescu “ Philharmonic in Bucharest, reunited at initiative of musician Adrian Petrescu. The enthusiasm of the performers, doubled by professional competence and passion, make this ensemble to be highly appreciated even from its first concerts, offering to the audience opportunities of delight. The approached repertory includes a varied style scale: works belonging to the pre-classic , classic and romantic period, as well as contemporary creations and entertainment music. Also, the sacred music takes an important place in the repertory of the ensemble. The ensemble performs frequently works by Bach, Haendel, Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Mozart, Beethoven, Berlioz, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, J. Strauss, R. Strauss, Wagner, Bruckner, Elgar, Ravel, Gershwin, G.Enescu, C.Hazzel, J.Parker, Brubeck, D.Dediu etc.

The peaks of this ensemble have been acknowledged and praised in many festivals and at extraordinary performances, on prestigious stages in Romania and abroad.

The Romanian Brass, under leadership of Adrian Petrescu recorded the Cd “Solemn Entry” in 2007 and undertakes the task to bring a tribute to the great music of all times.
